Thoughts of Akili

It is my duty to share my point of view with the world, to spark brain cells and build a momentum for change. One man can make a difference. May we all ascend to Godly heights, in the name of the Most High. Amen.

Emotions

Today, I'm feeling a little depressed. Is it because of the rain and gloomy weather? Is it because I know that my funds are at record lows? Is it because I’ve been reminiscing about missed opportunities lately? Is it because my country is involved in an irrational and unjust war, led by a group of greedy war-mongers? Is it because I know that Earth changes are imminent, and they are closer than we think?

I think it may be all of the above.

Half of me can't wait for life as we know it to end. I don't believe in death, for the soul is eternal and I know that after this life we will migrate to a new world with a new set of challenges and objectives.

The other half of me wants this world to continue on, business as usual. Although I know it is impossible for society to carry on in such a decadent state, it would still be nice if I could enjoy a piece of the prosperity pie before I leave this place.

The half that wants it to be over is the rebellious side that hates the status quo and wants to buck the system. The half that wants everything to stay the same is the passive side that wishes we can all live happily ever after, like a fairy-tale.

Will life improve, or have we all worn out our welcome on this planet?
